Founded by Dr. Ian Thompson, III, MD, a practicing third generation urologist in San Antonio, TX, we focus on doing the "the right thing" for our clients and the urologists with whom we work.

The Team

      Ian M. Thompson, III  MD, MBA

Ian Thompson, III has called San Antonio home for most of his life. A third-generation urologist, he completed his undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University and then returned to San Antonio for medical school at UTHSCSA.

He completed his general surgery and urologic surgery training at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN and then returned to San Antonio to complete a fellowship in urologic oncology at UTHSCSA.

He then took a faculty position at UTHSCSA as Assistant Professor in Urologic Oncology. During his time at UTHSCSA, he completed his MBA at University of Texas San Antonio.

After serving on faculty for over 2 years, Dr. Thompson left academics to take a job as hospital CMO with Christus Health and at the same time opened his private practice, Texas Urology Group, PA.

Dr. Thompson's primary focus in his practice is on providing compassionate, quality care to all of his patients. In addition to his clinical and administrative duties, Ian continues to engage in clinical research.  In 2019, Ian founded UrologyLocums.com, a urology-specific locums company, providing urologists with unique working opportunities around the country.

      Tammy D. Hager  MBA, FABC, Chief Operating Officer

Tammy Hager has more than 25 years of healthcare experience and has worked in a variety of multi-specialty physician practices, hospital-based clinics/departments and health systems. She has a successful track record in practice operations and building operational and recruitment teams, processes, and technology.

Tammy earned an MBA from Liberty University with an emphasis in healthcare management. Additionally, she is a Fellow with the Advisory Board Company, a Fellow with the Association for Advancing Physician and Provider Recruitment, and certified by the American Academy of Medical Management.

Tammy led operations and clinician recruitment at Signify Health as the VP of Network Management; she was the Executive Director at Surgical Affiliates Management Group (SAMGI); the Executive Director for Mercy Health, based out of St. Louis, MO; and prior to that led physician clinics and hospital operations as Executive Director for Carilion Clinic, based in Roanoke, VA. In addition, she served as Executive Director at PracticeLink, the largest physician and provider job board and magazine company.

      Martin Riley  Director of Permanent Placement Services

Martin Riley, M.S. is the Director of Permanent Placement Services at UrologySearch.com leading the company’s division focused on long-term urology recruitment. With extensive experience in healthcare and military recruiting, he brings a proven ability to build strong physician relationships and deliver effective staffing solutions.

In collaboration with Dr. Ian Thompson III, Martin and his team will expand permanent placement services and support the growing needs of clients and urologists nationwide.
